Thunder Bay photographer, James Brown, captures newborns within the first two weeks of being born. My newborn photography sessions take place in the comfort of your home so you don't have to pack up your sweetie. There will be plenty of time for breaks, changing, feeding and – of course – cuddle time. Those first few weeks will fly by and baby will only be this little once, so I focus on capturing the love between baby and parents to preserve these precious moments.
Why choose me?
It is my goal, as your photographer, to ensure you get the best from your newborn photography session. It's all about making sure that your experience is positive while your portrait needs are completely taken care of. It’s about getting to know you and your sweetie so that we can capture the true essence of your family. My style is simple and focuses on your little one, offering you a personalized experience from a unique perspective. I strive to capture all the details and features that make your little one unique to create each stunning image.
Every work of art created is of the highest quality. We take time to retouch each portrait by hand to ensure that the finished product is absolutely perfect. As a result, we can take on only a limited number of clients each month.
When to Book?
It is never too early to book a newborn photographer! I recommend that you book at least 2-3 months in advance of your due date to ensure your slot is reserved. I will book your due date, but not the session date since we never know when baby will arrive. I will normally do newborn sessions between 5-14 days after birth as this is when newborns are the most co-operative for pictures, however, in some cases I can photograph newborns later depending on the circumstances. I only book a limited number of sessions to accommodate for when babies are born early or late. If you have already had your baby, feel free to contact me. I may be able to accommodate based on my schedule.
How long is a session?
Session can be as long as 4 hours long depending on how cooperative your baby is. It may seem like a long time, but the time just flies by. This time allows me to work around their schedules of feeding, changing, and settling. The safety of your baby is my top priority and will take the time to do poses safety and explain the steps I am taking to ensure your sweetie's safety.
When will I get my photos?
Every work of art created is of the highest quality. We take time to retouch each portrait by hand to ensure that the finished product is absolutely perfect. To accommodate for getting the best quality and for session bookings, I give myself 30 days to edit your photos. I provide your photos in an online gallery for download but recommend ordering prints and canvas through myself to ensure you get the best quality prints.
If you have more questions, or would like to book a session, feel free to contact me. I look forward to working with you!
